Profile
The Brooks County Development Authority exists to promote economic development in Brooks County by aiding in the expansion of existing industry and through the attraction of new investment and quality employment opportunities. The Authority focuses on economic development to create financial opportunity for all citizens, i.e. jobs; through business investment resulting in a more diversified public revenue base.

Formed by an act of the Georgia State Assembly, the Brooks County Development Authority is under the direction of Director Tina Herring and Assistant Director Tiffany Holmes and the Development Authority Board. The Board seats seven, Walter "Buddy" Holwell, Chairman, Van Murphy, Vice Chairman, Gordon Rentz, Secretary, Pete Moody, Treasurer, Zack Williams, Tim Crosby, and Andy Swann. In addition, the Engineer is Ben DeVane and Attorney is Vann Parrott.

Skilled in grant writing, the BCDA works with all state and federal agencies to find available monies for both the community and business.
