Size and Location:
The Brooks County Industrial Park consists of 250 acres strategically located in southern Brooks County with direct access to GA Highway 333. Located approximately 0.3 miles east of US Highway 221, 1 mile south of US Highway 84 (Quitman, GA), 14 miles west of Interstate 75 (Valdosta, GA) and 24 miles north of Interstate 10 (Madison, FL), the industrial park is within one day's driving distance of 16 states.

Utilities:
The new park has water (12" loop around the park), sewer (8" mains and two pump stations within the park) and gas (4" main within the park) utilities as well as paved streets with curbs and gutters provided and maintained by the City of Quitman. Electric service is provided by the City of Quitman and Colquitt EMC (customer choice for loads larger than 900 kWh). Future plans for the park include a new water well and 500,000 gallon elevated tank.
Zoning/Ratings/Classifications:
The industrial park is zoned Heavy Industrial with a Class 4 fire insurance rating. In addition, the Brooks County Industrial Park is located within a designated Opportunity Zone providing Tier I job tax credits ($3,500/job).
The Brooks County Industrial Park was certified as a Georgia Ready for Accelerated Development (GRAD) Site by the Georgia Allies in 2008. Certification was completed by Bruce Facility Planning Consultants, LLC. (Contact Information)

Section 2 of the Brooks County Industrial Park consists of 221 acres and is currently owned by the Brooks County Board of Commissioners. Plans are being drafted for its expansion and development as growth demands.
